Ardyn Feken grew up in Colorado Springs and studied psychology at the University of Washington. She didn’t pick up a paintbrush until her 40th birthday. Although she had taken drawing classes in college, she was afraid to paint because she didn’t know “how” to paint. But that day she started her first painting “Babyface.”
Whether it’s her use of vibrant color in her paintings, or the dark moodiness of her drawings, Ardyn challenges the viewer to feel something, about the scene, the artist, or themselves. She makes a connection.
